Commonly Asked Question
What do we do?: Here at Muscle Activation Center, we target the root cause of muscle weakness and joint discomfort by implementing Muscle Activation Techniques (MAT®) by Greg Roskopf. MAT® helps optimize body mechanics, improve stability, and get you back to doing what you love.
Who is MAT® for?: Everyone! Many active people benefit from these types of treatment as individuals with active lifestyles are more likely putting many stressors on or overusing the muscular system. Yet, whether you're an athlete, gym-goer, fitness lover, or not, EVERYONE can benefit from MAT® treatments.
What has MAT® been known to help with?: Chronic pain conditions, back pain, neck and shoulder pain, hip pain, knee pain, joint pain and stiffness, muscle tightness, muscle strains, arthritis, injury recovery, post-surgery rehab, plantar-fasciitis, sports-related issues, recurrent injuries, sciatica and many other conditions. For a more detailed list of go the offical MAT® website: https://muscleactivation.com/for-clients/#:~:text=CHRONIC%20PAIN%20CONDITIONS,and%20joint%20discomfort.
What does an MAT® session look like?: A session usually lasts about 1 hour. We take you through a 5 step process: Assessment, Identify Weakness, Activation, Retest, Reassess. Watch this video from founder Greg Roskopf to learn more: https://youtu.be/dEZ0Li4bnR8
Isn't MAT® just the same as going to the chiropractor, physical therapist or message therapist?: No. Although chiropractors, physical therapists and message therapists have all been known to incorporate MAT® into their seperate practices, MAT® takes on a unique approach in the helping the muscular system become more efficient.
